Is it best to buy or make kinetic sand?

  • I would suggest buying good quality kinetic sand. It last for ages and is easy to clean up all the bits so you don’t have a lot of wastage.

  • I’ve been given a batch so I neither bought it nor made it myself.
There are different types of recipes for kinetic sand out there, but for some you hardly have to buy anything and that may be fun & easy to try with for example just sand, corn flour and oil

  • I’m happy to buy as it’s not expensive and I know it will work

  • Deffinantly make though I’m not even sure how much it actually costs

  • I’d avoid it altogether – it gets into everything!

  • I prefer to buy it, i find it is better and I’m slack so it’s easier.

  • I didn’t know you could make this but I find the cheaper version not that great and very messy so that would be my concern with the homemade version.

  • I need to find out how to make it now… would be a fun activity and then they can play with it afterwards.

  • I would price the ingredients to make it including your time and then compare to buying it.

  • I believe making it is great and it’s fun to do together and so simple

  • Would love to know if you ended up making it yourself? :)

  • I didn’t even know you could make your own. Come to think of it, I’m not really sure what kinetic sand is :/

  • It depends on your budget?

  • I am planning to buy instead of make in case I get something wrong.
