  • I have a Bosch 7.5kg Front Load Washing Machine (Product code: WAN22120AU), it is an awesome washing machine! I paid about 699 a few years ago for it and it still washes like its brand new. Its easy to clean and has awesome functions. Nice and quiet too!

  • We have a Fisher and Paykel. I have previously had a Miele and wouldn’t waste my money on it again. It didnt last the distance and they are almost impossible to repair.

  • I like Fisher and Paykel and I needed a larger machine so I bought a LG as my daughter said she had one and loved it. I wish I had got the largest as I struggle to put my bedspread in to wash it and it was suppose to be bigger so very disappointed, so I rather Fisher and Paykel.

  • Love my LG front load gets plenty of use and has been washing well for a couple of years now.

  • Im keen to hear other answers too. My washing machine is 12 years old & is so small & uses so much water & electricity.

  • I love my Bosch front loader. It’s a series 8 from memory

  • I like LG washing machine. I have mine for more than 10 years

  • We have a LG smart inverter front loader. It is really good and has an app AND YOU CAN CONTROL IT FROM YOUR PHONE. It alerts you when your load has finished and you can check how long left on the LG app as it connects to your machine via wifi.

  • I personally find fisher and paykel last forever, I’ve had mine since moving out of home 9 years ago and it’s still going strong and it’s used regularly.

  • We use Choice for our reviews. I love a front loader but they have a longer cycle generally.

  • Hi there

We purchased an LG which at the time was one of the best models rated by Choice. The machine has lasted pretty well and does a good job Just the door handle clip broke recently so we replaced that. I generally find most products these days seem to last around 4-5 years before things start breaking down. Not much made like the products form my parent’s generation!

  • I have a Fysher and Pykel top loader. Bought it in February 2009 and still going strong, no issues

  • I have always bought Fisher and Paykel and my daughter kept saying her new washing machine was great and I needed to get a larger washing machine for my thick bedspread which was king size. So I bought the LG and my advice is don’t buy a LG buy a Fisher and Paykel it runs rings around it.

  • I recommend fisher and pykel front loader and bosch front loader I’ve had both these machines and found the the best for cleaning and the variety it functions, I would stay away from Simpson, samsung and the ariston I’ve also had them and returned them under warranty due to faults.

  • We have a Samsung one because all of our other appliances including phones are Samsung. It’s worked well for us so far and we’ve had it for about two and a half years.

  • I have had now 3 Fisher & Paykel washing machines over the last 30 years & I wouldn’t change brands.

  • I like lg washing machine and they last for long.

  • The machine purchased also depends on the amount of washing that is laundered and light or heavy loads.

  • This is incredibly hard to answer, because it varies so much with size etc. I suggest you read the most recent Choice reviews – they’re a good, simple starting point.

  • I have had two Fisher & Paykel over 25 years and can not fault them. The spinner is a winner! Spins clothes almost dry. I find my washing can be on the line for half a hour on a warmish day and completely dry within a hour. I have a 10kg which takes blankets and curtains and washes these and spins almost dry. I love mine and will always replace mine with the same top load version that has so many settings. I do a lot of washing with a family of five and it’s easy to use and change settings.
