  • Always look for simple water activities, such as water painting. Find nature items that can be glued to aboard to make a picture, frame with pop sticks etc.

  • Look for rocks to paint or pick flowers and make a flower crown or even pressed flowers.

  • If you have a old cubby house get the kids to paint it and do a makeover. My children loved it they pick out everything them self

  • Pinterest have some really fab ideas. I’m keen to make a giant jenga set for our backyard and giant marble run.

  • make bubbles, make bath paint, paint pics, do a giant mural, make animals out of egg cartons

  • make finger paint from flour or cornflour

  • Bubble/foam fun, slip ‘n’ slide, ice block paintings, draw on the cement areas with chalk, play under the sprinkler, you can get a sprinkler ball that connects to your hose and you can throw it to each other, make up an obstacle course with a few things and maybe include a small pool =)

  • Imagination is always great :)

  • Making a cubby is a great holiday activity. Or, I used to make little towns with log cabins and dirt roads when I was a kid. I did this with my kids. You can let your imagination run wild

  • Some really cool ideas, liking all of them!

  • Make some daisy chains or necklaces with whatever is available, frangipanis.

  • Paper mache stuck on a balloon is a fun way to use up the old papper pop it and then paint it you could use old egg cartons stuck on it as ear or a nose then papper mache over it for it to be smooth. kids just love this as it takes time and effort and a couple of coats to look good.

  • collect sticks and flowers and make a collage with them

  • Make a garden.
    Flowers, vegetable or both.
You could paint plaster moulds, the sand bottle things where you layer the multi colour sands. You could make a puppet theatre.
Picnic lunches are a lot of fun as well.

  • Anything messy is great to do outside. Think sand castles, play dough, sensory bins, sidewalk chalk, painting. There are so many good ideas on the net, especially pinterest,
