Hello!

I’m looking for some party food ideas for my daughters birthday. It’s at a swim center so I was hoping to keep with the theme. Has anyone got an ideas?

  • Frog in a pond Jelly. Gummy shark lollies.

  • Things that can be eaten in one or 2 bites and don’t have wrappers or toothpicks etc as you don’t want any extra rubbish to pick up. – fruit platters, crackers and cheese, slices, bliss balls, frtittata, scrolls.

  • Blue jelly in a cup with a jelly baby, blue fairy bread, quiches as mini pools, a birthday cake from the old women’s weekly cookbook of a pool.

  • Mini pizzas, mini quiches, party pies, sausage rolls, an assortment of sandwiches, chips, dips, bics, cup cakes, fairy bread, chocolate crackles, honey joys. Take your pick, so much party food options. Check out MoMs recipes

  • Finger foods and anything that the pool filter can extract!

  • I’d probably stick with the usual kids party foods – mini sausage rolls, cheerio hotdogs, chips, lollies, cakes, sandwiches, veggie sticks/ crackers and dips and then throw in a couple of things like frogs in jelly but I personally wouldn’t go too crazy. I suppose it depends how much time you have to prepare and how much help you’re going to get from others. Good luck with the party!

  • I did a nautical theme baby shower and used this idea to make banana Dolphins to decorate a fruit platter – perfect to dress up a healthy treat! Photo taken from http://catchmyparty.com/photos/1707132

  • Platters are appealing. Fruit platters.

  • I think doing jelly with something like frogs swimming in it is a great idea

  • Blue jelly cups with either lollies or fruit in them is always a hit

  • anything that will not allow packaging to blown into the pool ( as a pool operator this is the worst). Jelly cups, dips and dippy things, bbq food are all good, cold meat platters

  • Mini Sausage rolls/Pies, cupcakes, fairy Bread, cheerios, mixed sandwiches.

  • finger food fresh fruit we had a pool party i got all the kids a water pissol kids had agreat time shotting each other

  • I say go for food which creates as little rubbish as possible… where you eat the packing almost… if that makes sense? Sushi, rice paper rolls, mini pizzas, veggie cups using hollowed out cucumber to hold the vegetable batons?

  • we had one at a public pool and they had a BBQ as well as finger food.
I do for the kids plastic cups with jelly in and fairy bread you could cut into fish, star fish, things like that. I would do cheerios and some wrapped in puff pastry and mini pies and sausage rolls as well as the lollies and chips. Or assorted sandwiches which you could do in shapes. I would see if you can get some pastry or cookie cutters in shell shapes and fish and whale and star fish and alike than you could cut most of the food into shapes. Than you could cut you puff pastry and cook once cooked cut down the middle or put 2 together and between them do jam and cream. You can find in alot of shops molds that are for chocolate or ice cubes and you could do chocolates do a pull a part dip roll and cut it into a flipper or something like that you could do a fruit salad with all different shaped fruit in it. As well as bathing suit shapes. You could get some molds that come with the bucket and spade for the beach than you could use the bucket and spade as decoration or put things in like if you get coloured popcorn or normal popcorn for example. cut some of your things in a circle and than put things on it to make it look like beach balls. You could do doughnuts and make them look like lifesaver rigs or look like the blow up pool rings and food if you want it to hold anything together instead of tooth picks get those little umbrellas in stead.

  • Little girls love the t cup bikkies made out of tick tock bikkies or (aldi sprinkle bikkies) use these as saucers glue a marshmallow on top of the icing side facing up by using either a dot of icing or melted chocolate , cut musk life savours in have and attach to the side of the marshmallow with either icing or melted chocolate then attach a freckle lolly on top, watermelon cut into triangles with the skin on and push a ice block sticks through the skin then you have melon pops, mini quiches , the women’s weekly cookbook has a pool cake I will try to up load a photo

  • sausage rolls, pasties, chicken wings and cup cakes.

  • I think i would go with sausage rolls, fairy bread, little biscuits and some lollies.

  • There are so many ideas out there, go to Pinterest and search swim theme snacks or similar,so many things will pop up

  • Fruit comes to mind however, that doesn’t sound exciting except if you make a fruit cake like this pic I’ve attached. I’d stay clear of hot foods.
