It depends what sort of veggies you want – there are things you can plant all year round and others you need to plant at certain times.
It also depends on where you live.
There are good gardening charts that have month by month guides on what to do in the garden (including fertilising, turning soil, what to plant, pest control, harvesting etc)
There are usually planting and harvesting tips on little cards you get with punnets of seedlings and also on the back of seed packets. Most summer crops go in around Sept Oct, the start of Spring and things are supposed to heat up
It depends on what you want to grow. If you go to bunnings, all their seeds state on the back the best time to plant. Most summer fruit and veg by memory is best planted at start of spring.
