Winners are usually selected randomly or judged according to the competition terms. I understand the disappointment, especially when the prize would genuinely improve daily life. Keep checking the notification dates, as winners may not be contacted immediately & don’t give up, because your lucky win could be next.

I believe it is a lucky dip, the more you contribute on the page the more entries you have to win a prize. What a great feeling it would be to be notified that you have won a prize, however it is never guaranteed. Good luck for the next lot of competitions, hopefully your name is pulled out and you win a lovely prize.

I think most people can come up with a reason why they feel they should have been selected. We all have our stories. Be it hard times financially, relationship breakdowns or the death of loved ones. Competitions are not often looking for the person with the toughest life at that time as that would be really hard to choose. How to choose between a Couple who have just lost their baby in a car accident and a Couple whos child is battling cancer?

Most words or less comps are based on who answered the question most skillfully. Those that answer with basic answers such as “I dont have any pots and pans” “I need these” “I really want new pots and pans”…. There is no skill so very doubtful that they will even get a look in.

Yes, like ChiWren writes, the fine print by all the competitions says that it is a game of skill. To be honest, ‘m not sure which skill this specifically is, lol. Probably it comes just as much down to a big dose of luck. I’m not sure if the winner is chosen by the Mouths of Mums team or the promoter either.

I know how you feel. They are great prizes and would be amazing to win! Wish there was more than one prize, but at least we’re trying!

In the fine print it says the competition is a game of skill. I don’t know if it’s a randomly allocated prize of if they find a response they particularly love and lock it in. As it’s always been said, you gotta be in it to win it. Never give up
