Hello!

Miss 7 and Master 5 are starting swim lessons next school term. I am after some suggestions on hooded towels or robes that they can simply throw over their bathers, will keep them warm/dry for drive home to showers then bed. Keep in mind we are still mid-winter in Melbourne!

  • You can find them everywhere in store and online

  • just go have al ook in big w or best and less

  • I really don’t think a towel would be enough to keep them warm enough to get home in the middle of winter!!!

  • I don’t know of any for older children, I would buy a normal towel and sew some Velcro on it to keep it around their chests

  • Does the Towel man franchise operate down there? We got some cute ones from there last time

  • I’d get cheapies from Kmart (eg) as the chlorine at public pools is so pungent and fabric damaging.

  • Where did you end up getting your hooded towels?

  • Hope you found some nice ones!

  • what did you get in the end?

  • Terry Rich do some nice ones

  • Hope you managed to find some good towels

  • What did you end up getting?

  • Did you end up finding some?

  • I hope you have found some helpful suggestions in here.

  • Hope you found what you were after.

  • Myer have beautiful ones. :)

  • That’s a great idea Kaz, I never thought of making ours but they would be really easy and I have sewing machine sitting right here!

  • Best and Less do some great hooded towels that are well priced – these come in many designs that are super cute!
If you can’t find what you are looking for though or wanted a thicker quality towel have you considered making your own? My mum did this for me when I was younger and I absolutely loved it!

  • Try Woolworths or K Mart .

  • We got some cheapies from KMart and find them fine. Anything you use at a public pool will fast deteriorate due to their excessive use of, and need for, chlorine. Spending less means less hip pocket pain when replacing and faster drying time when washed!
