Hello!

What are the red marks on my daughter? – I know you all are not doctors or nurses but I really value other mothers input & hands on experience. My 15 month old has been bit twice by mozzies in last 6 months and reacted badly. Second time went to hospital to be told it’s an allergy.
Anyway, she woke up the other day and with a red welt on her face and arm, with what looked like a blister. Nothing like the previous mozzie bites. She is teething bad and I would say the cheek is from teeth but how to explain arm?

  • It sounds like an allergic reaction, get medical treatment.
Teething makes it difficult to tell but because the welt is on the arm I wouldn’t be taking any chances, best of luck.

  • It could be an allergy or sensitivity too, it would also depend on where you live, here in the tropics we can get some nasty bugs and insects that can cause a horrible reaction in little people

  • I definitely would be seeking medical advice!!

  • Defiantly sounds like some sort of reaction to something maybe check with GP hope you find your answer good luck.

  • It sounds like a reaction to something. I would get it checked by a GP just to be on the safe side. I’m also allergic to mozzies :(

  • Defiantly have a gp check it out

  • there are some good comments here

  • Did you find out what they were?

  • No idea sorry, try the GP. Or maybe even a pharmacist.

  • i would have had the doctor check it out

  • Did you find out what the red dots were?

  • did you go see a doctor?

  • Did you end up seeing a doctor?

  • Best to see the doctor she may be allergic to something else as well

  • i would get it checked out so you know for sure

  • Definitely check this out with your doctor.

  • My nephew is allergic to mozzie bites and they come up as huge red welts wherever he gets bitten and can stay like that for days. I would definitely recommend aeroguard as opposed to off as it works a million times better (it just doesn’t smell as pretty)

  • I hope you found the answer you were seeking.

  • How is she now? Any better?

  • Sounds like an allergic reaction, take her to GP and if necessary take her to a specialist for an allergy test to make sure.
