Hi, can anyone please give me any advice on good prams and car seats. I’d love a car seat that can clip into a pram. Thank you!

  • ………and prams. We went to a baby expo and ‘test drove’ so many prams. We got a really good idea of the one we liked. We were then fortunate to be able to purchase one on marketplace for a fraction of the new price.

  • If you have a kidsafe local to you definitely get into contact with them!
Regarding car seats you want to look at extended rear facing if under 4 year old child,
And also depending what car you have possibly a ‘slim line compact seat’ as a lot can be super bulky and not give much room on the back seat or for the driver to front passenger seat to move back and if you got a talk adult in front they’ll be super duper squished!

We got the Britax graphene+ for our twins but it’s been replaced with the Graphene EA. And a Maxi Cosi Pria for our 6 week old. And we absolutely love them. Compact slim seats perfect for any car.

  • I got a mountain buggy and very happy with it. I clipped a maxi cosi capsule on it.

  • Kidsafe is a really good, reliable source of information about this.

  • I’d go into the shops and do a lot of research. Seeing the actual items is better and the staff can show each one’s options.

  • Stores should also have a wealth of information and will no doubt be very happy to answer lots of questions about prams and car seats prior to any purchases.

  • Can’t really advise you as we’re out of the pram stage, but I would suggest google, reading lots of reviews and chosing a shop with good assortment and advice

  • Read lots of product reviews and search websites.

  • Thanks for your help ladies much appreciated ????

  • I adore my Milly and Coop pram. Light, heaps of space underneath, can buy colour packs to switch up the look, and can go to an almost flat incline and come with a newborn insert. They are compatible with a few different car capsules. We skipped the capsule and got a maxi Cosi car seat. They have seats available that are great for compact cars. We’re about to get another of the same car seats for our new car too.

  • Baby bunting is your best option as they will allow you to take the display model to your car and let you fit it to see if it suits and fits your car. I am sure they would allow this with prams as well. I did this for my child when i was buying a new car seat late last year.

  • I found Baby Bunting very helpful for getting advice and recommending products. Go and have a chat to them (you don’t need to buy from there if you find elsewhere cheaper!)
