Hello!

There is a large patch spread on my carpet and I don’t know how to get this stain out? It only happened recently. Can anyone out there help me? I’ve never experienced this before, but it must have spilt coming in from the car after shopping. Thanks

  • I don’t have anything to add but the idea of kitty litter is genius


  • I would spray the area with WD40 then sprinkle with bi-carb and allow to dry then vacuum. I hope this works.


  • squirt vanish like mad onto the stain, and throw into a normal wash. Perfect

  • I know that kitty litter works on concrete as it draws up the oil


  • dish washing liquid is designed for oils and like substances. It also works on your clothes if you ever spill some oily food on them.


  • Oh dear I get cooking stain on my clothes all the time and it always happens when I’ve just purchased brand new clothes :-(

  • My mum used to put salt on any oily stains when we were kids and it worked fine. Not sure if she ever had an actual cooking oil stain though.
