I have a simple solution. When someone calls that I think is a scammer, I let them get out a sentence or two and then say, “Hang on a minute…” then put the phone down and turn on the vacuum cleaner and vacuum the floor for five minutes. You can hear the person on the phone still trying to get your attention but ignore them and keep vacuuming the floor. When you pick up your phone again, the scammer will be gone and the floor will be cleaner (plus, they had to pay for the call). On the off chance that the same scammer calls back a few minutes later, just tell them to hang on again and vacuum some more. You will suddenly find vacuuming more productive and very entertaining!

Constantly! Plenty of the ones that ring and it is silent for a while then cuts off. We block the numbers but calls just keep coming. So annoying when a sick person is woken from their much need rest.

It’s a huge problem and if I speak to anyone else, I think they have the same thing. Scammers are now calling on mobile numbers too. Basically, if I don’t know the number I don’t answer now. Probably get 2-3 of these calls a day.

Yes I get them regularly however I do find they stop for a short time after I register on the no call list.

I just don’t answer unknown phone numbers. I figure that if it’s important or someone I know they will leave a message and I will call them back.

Yes, all the time. As soon as I’ve had a scam call I block the number, so I’ve a lot of blocked numbers by now

I think they just constantly dial random numbers, and if someone answers they keep calling. I think they also use programs to appear to call from someone else’s number.
You could always ignore unknown numbers, and look up the number on Google to check.

Yes!!! It’s so annoying.
The worst thing is it always seems to be from numbers that are exactly like mine but with one number different. It’s so trippy. I think they just go through a list of old unused phone numbers and use them to dial out. The technology these days is a bit insane with what they can do, it’s scary!

I still do even after putting my number on the do not call register.
