Hello!

How many Mums separate their colours from whites these days? Is it still worth my time? Thanks!

  • I’ll wash new items separately in case the colour runs.

  • Only if the clothes are brand new and the colour may run. Otherwise no, all in together.

  • No except for a new white item l will wash by itself!

  • I only wash certain clothes separately because they tend to run or collect lint.

  • Towels always stay separate as they make a mess of whites and colours.

  • I do for crisp white clothes otherwise they grey.

  • I never separate colours.
I only separate the towels from the clothes :)

  • It depends, it come down to if the colours are going to run, if the item is new I would separate it, however if it is old I would combine it, as it shouldn’t run

  • I wash everything together in cold water.

  • I have never done it, waste of time in my opinion, I wash clothes separate from towels and blankets etc but not colours.

  • I don’t seperate unless it is a brand new item. My mum told to place tea spoon of salt in the water as this some how can prevent the colors leaking onto the clothes.

  • I don’t separate and they seem fine to me. every now and again I will soak whites in with napisan before I put them in the wash if they need it.

  • I separate my clothes and keeps my whites whiter!!

  • Sometimes I do just depends what it is.

  • I still do, I think it keeps the whites brighter by not throwing in the pales with whites

  • i do. :)

  • I did until recently. Got a trial from MOM for punch colour catchers, will never bother again unless I have a full load of say darks. These are great for mixed loads

  • i dont separate and they turn out fine

  • we have enough washing to do that it is just a good way to divide loads :)

  • unless you have the new colour catcher then you should do it
