I think it sounds like a normal relationship – boy with girl. It’s a discussion worth having though now that transgender is now openly part of our society, rather than hidden. Let’s get this right though.

Perhaps the girlfriend accepts that he identifies as a male and therefore sees him in the same way, if you had to put a label on it I would think that would mean she’s heterosexual. Alternatively, she may just love the person, and not see the gender as any sort of categorising factor of sexual orientation? Interesting, I wouldn’t have even thought to question, even just out of natural curiosity….

I would just say they like each other and try to keep the labels out of it.

I would just say that when it comes to personal relationships, it’s no one’s business other than the people involved.

It is a difficult one but if I understand correctly – if the child identifies as Male and had a relationship with the opposite sex then it would be considered a heterosexual (straight) relationship.

It was a girl and is now a boy interested in girls……doesn’t sound homosexual to me.

Like everyone else, transgender people have a sexual orientation. Transgender people may be straight, lesbian, gay, bisexual, or queer. For example, a person who transitions from male to female and is attracted solely to men would typically identify as a straight woman. A person who transitions from female to male and is attracted solely to men would typically identify as a gay man.

When the transgender teenager was first a girl, but now a boy who dates a girl, I think this is a hetero sexual relationship.
