No to last longer they are better off left on the vine

I separate both bananas and truss tomatoes and they seem to last a reasonable amount of time.

I never separate mine I leave them connected and they seem fine. I store mine in the fridge otherwise they ripen too quickly.

I buy weekly quite a big amount of truss tomato. I keep most of them on the truss in the fridge, but take something like 4 ripest ones out the fridge in a sunny spot and separate them,

Tomatoes don’t have an awfully long shelf life. Perhaps you could consider making chutney or sauce or jam

I do seperate when l am picking them but l am sure it wouldn’t matter!

I do separate my fruits and veggies and use them as they ripen.
