Hello!

It’s my birthday coming up and I’ve been thinking about getting a smart watch. I’d love some recommendations!
Just looking for some basic health functions, notifications and telling the time!

  • Apple Watch SE: If you have an iPhone, the Apple Watch SE is a great choice. It offers heart rate monitoring, fitness tracking, and you can customize notifications. Plus, it looks sleek!

Fitbit Versa 3: This one’s perfect for health tracking with built-in GPS, heart rate monitoring, and sleep tracking. It also gives you notifications from your phone and has a long battery life.

Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2: If you’re an Android user, this watch is a great pick. It has fitness tracking, heart rate monitoring, and customizable notifications.

  • I have a Fitbit Charge 5 and they now also have a Charge 6 available. I am super happy with it. So much so I have recommended it to others as well. Another thing to consider is how long the warranty is for. The Fitbit have a 2 year warranty and I have had issues with the band snapping off the Fitbit (so the problem is with the Fitbit not the band) and they have always provided me another Fitbit when it’s fallen under the warranty.

  • I use a Samsung galaxy and haven’t switched for years. What did you end up getting

  • Just curious, @Mum_Em, what watch did you choose? What brand of phone are you using? I’ve tried a few smartwatches in the past, including Fossil, Pebble, Galaxy Watch, Qualcomm Toq, and even some cheaper Chinese brands. This year, I went back to a simple digital watch. If I had to pick a favorite, it’d be the Toq, but they’re not for everyone and are no longer available.

  • There’s SO many to choose from and they’re mostly SO expensive. Good luck on your search

  • I love my Apple Watch. I did try and swap to a FitBit but it just wasn’t for me. Apple Watch syncs with my phone and has every thing I need.

  • FoSSil! I’ve had two of them now and I just love them

  • I love my Garmin Fenix 6. It’s a nice more feminine design, you can get cute animations to have on your clock face, choose different faces and it gets all your notifications – facebook, msgs, email, etc. It’s also solar power so has a battery life of up to 9 days without charging. It does have other features too like a GPS, however, I don’t really know how to use that! You can tap and pay too. It’s a great watch!

  • I’m interested too, but a bit concerned about privacy of my data.

  • I have a fitbit which I mainly use to count steps and remind me to move. It does other things but I don’t find the interface very user friendly, There are different models available that may be better, When I got mine I mainly wanted it for steps, so I chose the one with the lowest profile on my wrist.

  • Not Oppo or fitbit – you cant answer calls!

  • I don’t have one. But I would probably get the Apple one.

  • Fitbit are excellent, but if you’re an apple gal you might like that more. It can come down to brand preference.

  • I love my Apple Watch and feel totally lost when I forget to wear it.

  • Always make sure whatever is purchased suits your lifestyle.

  • No recommendations; but a good idea to read product reviews for all options; always do lots of research.

  • I’ve got both a fitbit and an Apple Watch – I actually prefer the fitbit – less notifications!

  • I have a simple fitbit charge. It obviously tells time, does steps, calories and sleep. and its small. If you want simplicity its perfect. I love it.

  • I love my apple watch, it is the best. I have had a galaxy before which was also fantastic but nothing beets my apple watch as it syncs with my phone and it has so many amazing features.

  • I am very interested in the answers here as I am in the market for one too. I definitely won’t be going for another Fit Bit. The bands break constantly and are expensive to replace. The last fit bit died when it was only 18months old.
