My daughter’s daycare offered a speech screening assessment to which I thought was a good idea but have never had any concerns. She sings the ABC’s, counts to 10 and acts like any other toddler. The recommendation from the clinic (not daycare) was that she attend speech therapy as she has “few speech sound errors evident in her speech and that some sounds will soon no longer be age appropriate”. The daycare have no concerns and nor do I but I’m wondering should I be concerned? Has anyone taken their kids to speech therapy at such a young age or know anyone that has.
