What steam mops does everyone recommend, are cheap ones eg Kmart ones okay?

  • I’ve been using the Shark Steam Mop S1000 for the past two years and it does a great job on our matte tile flooring and has held up to regular use. Sometimes I use water alone, and for a deeper clean I spray the floor first with a DIY diluted white vinegar and dish soap cleaning spray before mopping. I love that it comes with two washable and reusable floor pads!

  • I’ve got a steam mop from Harris Scarfe that works well but just got a Bissell spot cleaner and it is amazing

  • I’ve got a Hoover one. Works well.

  • From my experience, cost doesn’t make much difference, as long as they blow steam…..it works. I have noticed a difference in attachments tho. Now I know this, the next one I buy, I will definitely be checking out the attachments so I know what jobs it can and can’t do

  • I can’t remember our brand, but it is cheap – and works well.

  • An interesting question.
I do not have one and find the answers helpful and interesting

  • We used to have a steam mop. Can’t remember the brand. But wasn’t good. I got rid of it.

  • yes i use the from JB hifi basic one. forgot the name though. but it does its job.

  • We have had a couple of different cheaper steam mops and they have been okay, However, I did notice that they seemed to make the grout on our tiled floors grubby over time.

  • My parents have two from Aldi, they seem to like it and can’t fault it.

  • This is interesting. I’ve never used one yet but heard great things about them.

  • I have an old one from kogan that has worked for the last 8 years! Thinking I’d like to upgrade though. I’ve heard the Euroflex one is good.

  • Following! I’d love to know as well :)
