Hello!

I would like to thank every one for your kind words on regards to my step daughter. She is 14, and remembers very well, and still sees it today. Out of all her siblings, she is th only one since her mum filed, her mother talks too.
I underunderstand, she is confused, and feels stuck in th middle l, all of the kids do. I hate they are all going through this and it’s not fair on any of them.
We have got legal help four ourselves, and all th children have court appointment lawyers. All the kids have been told that we will get to read everything. Kids are in counselling but she refuses to talk.
For those who were not supportive, I am allowed to feel hurt, this is my daughter regardless of blood. There are no steps in our home, just family, and i hope your own bitter experiences, didnt affected your response.not all steps are evil like not all bios are wonderful

  • I haven’t followed your story, but am sorry to hear you received negative responses. Hope things have worked out for you and you children.

  • I hope this very complicated situation is working out for you. I doubt it’s been easy, and I imagine you’re still dealing with it.

  • Thanks for sharing an update! Don’t worry about the online trolls and negative Nancy’s. You raised her as if it were your own and thats amazing. Given her age, I’m just guessing she may be going through adolescence and this is usually the time they distance themselves from any parent and want more freedom. The stage where they rebel a lot so dont feel hurt.

  • Hope you get through this difficult time

  • We are all doing our best. I have no advice but good luck!

  • I can only say that 14 is an incredibly difficult age, and probably one where you’d be experiencing some conflict anyway. It’s not easy, but try to just continue being there for her.

  • You are doing such a good job. Try to stay possitive

  • It’s so sad for the kids and for you and your husband to have to go through such an ordeal. The court appointments must be hard for everyone. Success and be strong!

  • It sounds like you are doing your best. You obviously love them all and hopefully things will work out for them and you. Keep being supportive it will pay off and good luck to you. It is a tough situation. My thoughts are with you.

  • I am so sorry that people have responded badly towards you. I think anyone going through this is incredibly strong and it is such a heart breaking thing to watch kids you love go through this regardless of if they are blood or not. I really do wish you all the best, I hope that somewhere down the track she talks to someone and it helps her. You can always rebuild your relationship with her it will just take a little time – good luck.
