Hello!

He is the most stubborn child I have by far, he can not accept any change, nothing out of place in his room or even changing the colour of his plate or type of spoon will cause a melt down. So far we have been gently fighting it but there is no progress, any ideas from mum’s that have been through it.

  • Those little things are just very important for a 2yr old. I remember big drama’s when the toast was not cut in the right way and that is was impossible to eat when not cut in the right way. Just be patient, involve them and ask how he would like tings to be done. Don’t make a battle of it. A lot has to do with the development of their personality and with that of their will; respect it !

  • That does sound like typical toddler behaviour

  • I seem to think its an age thing, my 2 year old does the same thing. He is trying to be very assertive and demanding at the moment – I think its a phase that will pass – all my kids went through this phase at some point.

  • I have 2yo like that…i just give up and doing what she wants ????

  • You do have a problem now have you had him checked for Autistim as there is a wide spectrum? Some of what your saying he is doing is what some Autistic person does as they hate change, its worth getting checked.

  • It’s hideous, but you may have to live through some tantrums. He probably will grow out out of it, but in the short term there could be shrieking at inevitable changes.
