I hope as this was posted years ago you are ok! But I would suggest using some undie style ones that you can buy cheaply online. I would also make the big deal that these are like undies – and mum/dad use them etc.

I use little swimmers size L ( swim nappies ) for my 6yr old. You can get them by Coles and Woolworths

I think supermarkets may have nappies just for the pools called ” swimmers ” I cant remember which brand as it was so long ago .

I use the Huggies Little Swimmers – they are only slightly thicker than undies and don’t feel anywhere near as heavy as a nappy

Swim nappies are fine. Try a few different brands if you’re concerned.

You can get reusable swim nappies that just look like swimmers. I know they have them at the Cancer Council shops but you’d surely find them elsewhere.

Congrats, its such a good feeling to know the children are able to toilet.

I found you cant go wrong with the swim nappies for swimming, they are designed specifically for water and dont swell up like a nappy does. You can use them more than once also. Just give them a good rinse out and hang in the sun to dry. (of course if they did a really whoopsy, no 2 – then throw out)

As soon as the child has finished in the water just quickly put them back in their underwear and you will find they adapt to this, and before too long you wont need them at all.

Most swim centres would prefer you use the swim nappies than none at all until you are satisfied you child can manage without one.
