I’ve not been to the Sydney show, but have been a lot to the Melbourne Show (imagine they’d be similar?). One thing they had this year was a wrist band for children that you could put your name and number on in case they got separated from you – I thought this was a really good idea and have used it since when we’re out in crowded places.

Lots of patience and money. Never been to Sydney show, only small local ones, which are tough with kids

Lots and lots of walking so take a stroller if the kids are little. You can hire a locker and take a picnic to keep expenses down.

We never went when we lived in Sydney, simply because it was too expensive for us

It is on the list for the next couple of years. It looks like a wonderful show.
