Hello!

She has recently started going through the Puberty changes and would love to be prepared for when she asks about doing something in regards to the growing hair under her arms.

  • I agree with Ellen …hair is lighter and thinner at this age ….shaving etc will only cause more issues, best to wait a while.

  • Age 10 is a bit young for shaving. An epilator hurts, it hurts on my legs and underarms are more sensitive. Choose wisely

  • If you have the option to, I would recommend an epilator. I use one weekly to remove hairs as a cheaper alternative to waxing. As you probably already know, Shaving causes the hairs to become thick and dark, and requires constant upkeep..

  • Personally I wouldn’t consider to buy a shaver to use for underarm hair at such a young age. When armpit hair starts growing it’s initially very light and nearly invisible. Time enough to consider this at a later age. NB my 12, 16 or even 17yr old never asked for it.
