Hello!

“Please help me. My daughter turns two in just over two weeks and just in the last few nights has been getting scared. Like if its getting dark and she can’t find me or even during the day. But the worst is at night. She falls asleep holding my arm. And wakes up screaming. And gets herself into a state. My partner and I don’t want to do a night light as she has normally been a great sleeper. Any advice would be greatly appreciated x” Do you have any tips for a scared 2 year old?

  • things you can try is putting some nice trinkets in there room posters or paintings of there own get the to jazz up there room and start there see if it works…?

  • Sorry i don’t have an answer but my daughter is going through the exact same thing so any helpful tips would be greatly appreciated by myself also. Thanks for asking this question.

  • I don’t see the harm in a night light? This may help her become that great sleeper again! My 2 year old sleeps with a light on.

  • Not sure but I hope other mums can help you.

  • Has anything happened or is she having night terrors?

  • Maybe some glow in the dark stickers – our daughter loves her stars and happy smiling moon

  • how did it turn out?

  • Hope you managed to find the answer you were looking for.

  • What did you end up doing?

  • Or you could put the hall light on and turn it off when you go to bed yourselves

  • Maybe she is having night mares, make sure she doesn’t watch any scary movies and or have a night light in her room so when she wakes she can she light.

  • Have a special toy to keep her safe, that could help

  • How is she now? Anything helped?

  • It sounds like she could be having bad dreams-or night terrors as they are called.

  • if its u that she is fretting for try getting her to pick something of urs and let her know that she can sleep with it and it will keep her safe

  • Thanks heaps for posting, was also wondering. :P

  • I would try a night light or a lamp maybe leave a light on near her room.

  • If you do t want a night light maybe a torch for her. Have you looked back on why has caused this ?

  • Maybe jus sleep next to ur bub till the feel a little more comforted. It is scarey on ur own in dark

  • Love Katith21’s idea with the ‘super spray’! I’ll have to keep that in mind myself.
