yeah my daughter figure it out quickly and would help the other kids. it was really sweet

I found that talking bunny ears worked for my daughter – 2 bunny ears, one tucks behind the other, through the hole and pull apart. We practiced at home and I only sent her to school in lace ups on NON sports days. I also put double knots in her laces in the early days so that the laces didn’t come undone at school. Her class teacher wouldn’t help the kids laces – she made the ones who could (or who thought they could) help the ones who could not – this really worked!

MY son wa having issues and his Occupational Theropist sat down with him and got him to put on a adult pair of shoes on one of his feet, she put the other one on her foot and went through the motions and noted what he used to describe what was been done. He come up with build a tree ( the large loop you start with). Loop it around, and tuck it through the hole and pull tight. She went through with it ten times and he is now a expert as long as he says his little prompting ideas he never gets it wrong.
I have tried to show him myself 100 times before this and all it took was ten minutes with her wih the prompt he came up wih himself.
I would do as she did, get her to try on a pair of your shoes to practice with as the laces on yours are so much larger, thicker than they are on the kids. The get her to try with hers once she can do it easily.( i wish i had of thought of this myself)
