  • My husband and I are really working in teaching our 2.5 year old daughter to pack up before moving on to a different toy. Some days goes very well but sometimes depending on her mood it doesn’t work at all. Still a bit more work on it.

  • Great! Really interesting comments read on this!

  • Loose toys go into a toy box and Teddy’s go on top of cupboard:)

  • we have a stuffed toy net and everything else goes into a big toy box

  • We found one of those hanging shoe holders that go over a door

was brilliant for toys that aren’t too big. Stackable containers like milk crates are great for organizing toys too, and they’re easy to stack, easy to move and can double for many other things.

  • We have a toy box and box type shelving with fabric draws as well

  • i have little boxes labeled.

  • there are some good comments here

  • all great ideas so though having a child who puts things away is a miracle in itself. Children are always having fun being messy so don’t stress too much if they are not put away properly.

  • Some good advice there below.

  • In have a tox box and shelves for toys, and the stuffed toys live in a large flexi tub

  • Stuffed bears and toys get thrown into a big box we have or we also have a toy net in my daughter’s room! A friend suggested to me to ask everyone to give you a box of nappies instead of a stuffed toy ;)

  • What have you ended up doing? And ideas helped?

  • i have endless storage :)

  • Definitely a good idea to invest in some good toy storage solutions. A bookcase is always good, and toy racks, plastic boxes, little bins etc. They never go to waste.

  • What did you end up using?

  • Lots of storage cubes helps our kids rooms

  • we have the cube bookshelves with bins. i have now stopped putting so much pressure on myself though. As long as i pick up all toys and get them into the playroom at the end of the day im happy. Then i try once a week to reorganize and get toys in correct bins. Its a constant battle so why stress over it!

  • I am interested in the responses, too- big problem at my house!

  • you can buy the coloured wheelie bins, they are pretty good
