We have been TTC for awhile now. Around 4-5 DPO I started getting achy boobs, and what I thought was implantation cramps (like menstrual cramps, but very very light). I have been tested since 6DPO and now on 11DPO and still getting a negative result. I also have a 33 day cycle, so now sure if I’m testing too soon, or I’m really just not pregnant.

  • I have PCOS as well, each person experiences it differently.
#1 took 18 months to conceive
#2 took 2 months but had a miscarriage a month later
We are still TTC again 12 months after the miscarriage.

  • PCOS can be such a devastating affliction. My nieces have it along with my dil, its affected each one differently. My eldest niece had a hard time falling pregnant

  • I also have PCOS and we struggled to get pregnant for a couple of years, now we have a 3 month old baby girl. I went to the GP after 12 month of TTC and she referred us to a fertility specialist. We eventually did get pregnant using ovulation induction. It is different for everyone though, I know people with PCOS who have got pregnant naturally as well. Fingers crossed for you!

  • A GP is probably best placed to provide advice and support.

  • I’d test in another couple days or a week if you think you could be pregnant. But always worth booking a Dr appt just in case. I was told years ago apparently there’s a medication you can take to get ovulation happening if you have PCOS so you could also ask about that if you see a Dr.

  • Definitely wait a couple more days as we are all different. Good luck

  • I would test after your period is due (or on the day) keep in mind also that some people struggle to get a positive test and require blood tests to show a positive

  • Test in another 2 weeks if I’m doubt. Or go to a gp

  • I am honestly not sure about this – you should probably talk to a doctor about when and how to test.

  • I was 6 weeks pregnant with my daughter before I got my first positive test. The doctor said it takes longer when you have PCOS. Just hang in there and test in a few more days.
We have been trying for over a year too, I hope you get that positive test you deserve.
