Hello!

Does anyone have experience with the Haier 8kg-4kg Combo Washer Dryer ?? One machine for your washing and drying, saving space in the laundry as well as the convenience of continuous wash-dry cycles sounds very good to me, but I don’t know if it’s any good ?

  • My grand daughter has one and she had to get it fixed. I don’t understand why young buy these as the clothes should be dried outside in the sun and it will help with their electricity bill if she did.

  • I’ve also been told by a friend who has one that her electricity bill is a shocker & wishes she hadn’t gone ahead with her purchase.

  • My sister has one. She regrets it, she said the dryer takes so long that it’s not really worthwhile. She also found her electricity bill skyrocketed after she started using it.

  • I don’t have one. My washing machine is separate to my dryer but my laundry is quite big.
Have you read online reviews perhaps?

  • Yes I got talked into buying a washing machine from a store not online. And now its my biggest regret I hate it takes too long to wash your clothes and does not even have a filter
to clean so most of the time my clothes come out still dirty

  • I used to sell appliances for a living and while combo machines have some conveniences, they also have inconvenience too. Electricity costs will be much higher, and if something were to malfunction, then you lose both machines rather than one.
They can also be very expensive to repair if you needed.

  • I also check out appliances in various stores too. An appliance can appear quite different in store compared to online.

  • I always read loads of reviews on product sites for appliances, lots of research before any purchases.

  • Not too sure, but look up choice who recently reviewed some really bad washers

  • I don’t know the brand we had but we had a combination one and I found it didn’t dry as well as I liked but that was a while ago now they might have improved.

  • I must admit I haven’t considered it but, judging by the negative comments, wouldn’t be worth the money or hassle.

  • I asked my washing machine repair man about it, and he didn’t recommend it.

  • 2 separate family members have bought it for the convenience and space saving – both families do not recommend. It apparently breaks down, takes wayyy long to do one lot of laundry and doesn’t always do the job.

  • Thanks for the answers ladies, much appreciated !

  • We asked in store about this one and they don’t recommend it as it is more likely to cause problems and it’s harder to get parts to fix it.

  • My grand daughter has that brand washing machine and has had trouble with it their own braking down, I’m not sure if it is a combo, I wouldn’t waste my time on a brand, look the brand up to be able to see what people write about that brand.

  • My son has a washer/drier combo, not this brand tho. Him and his fiancee absolutely love it

  • No l don’t have one.It does sound convenient though!

  • I have heard of this, and found it hard to believe too. I’d suggest googling online reviews too – they’re not always perfect, but if there’s a real problem it’ll probably show up in them.
