  • I believe if you approach your local courthouse, they may have work in typing court transcripts from home.

  • I would be googling it. Asking friends and family and maybe even approaching job search agencies for help

  • Wow, lots of mums on here asking for information to work from home. Good for you and good luck with it all

  • I have looked into these and never found any that were genuine or worth doing.

  • Freelancer.com I cannot recommend this site any higher! They are genuine and secure!

  • I’m going to checkout airtasker myself

  • Just be careful to accept work only within Australia

  • I hope you find something in this area, I wouldn’t mind doing it myself

  • Keep an eye on Airtasker – http://www.airtasker.com. I regularly see local things posted on there, and also sometimes see people posting for regular jobs like this.

  • I am not aware of any web sites that offer this sort of employment, good luck in finding something

  • Freelancer.com there are a lot of silly Indian jobs but also a lot of great Aussie work that is genuine and well paid. They also have a really good payment guarantee system where the jobs are paid for from the employer to freelancer when you accept and the funds are released on completion of the job! I have so much work I hardly have time for MOM!

  • should be careful because most are scams

  • be careful of scams don’t know if there is any really you can do

  • Elance and Odesk are good, you will be competing against really cheap overseas contractors but that’s how i initially started out working from home, some people do want to keep the jobs and money in Australia and will pay that little bit extra to have someone who is in their time zone and understands english 100%

  • Try elance.com. if you are lucky you may get some job. Many offer job there and many to grab it.best of luck

  • Why not have a look into some of the virtual assistant agencies, or start up your own! There’re heaps around, and they generally take a fee from the hourly rate, which is reasonable as they help you find the work.

  • Should be careful because most of them are scam.

  • i have been looking into the same kind of work, i can not for the life of me find anything tha tisnt a scam!, so frustrating, i guess all the jobs have been taken by other stay at home mums hehe, it would be nice to work from home, save on childcare costs, for someone like me that doesnt drive its hard finding any work that allows me to stay home and also focus on my daughter!

  • I have been looking myself for ages. Most out there are scams, or you need to be based in a capital city which I am not. I do online surveys for a bit of extra cash. I get a few gift vouchers a month, which do help out.

  • My husband is a computer programmer, and I have spoken to him regarding this, as I myself have considered taking up this line of work. To put it simply, it’s a scam. They either get you to pay for a bunch of training stuff (which they never send you), or they send you a cheque, get you to cash it and buy a bunch of their stuff, and then they cancel/reverse the cheque, leaving you with a bunch of useless crap and an overdrawn account. If you manage to find a legitimate site, you’re one of the extremely lucky ones.
My suggestion is to try something else. Whether it be party-plan (such as Tupperware, Intimo or Partylite), leaflet folding/delivery, or even something such as ironing. At least these are legitimate jobs, and you know up-front if you need to pay for anything.
