Keep it simple. At 7mths, so called “educational” toys are unlikely to have any more benefit than regular toys, or even household items as someone else has suggested. In fact, simple toys encourage creativity more than toys that specify how they should be used. Play in itself is educational and you don’t need fancy (or expensive) toys for your child to learn from play.

i like to buy alot of leapfrog educational toys that teaches abc numbers reading things like that

I also love books and I think reading to them from a young age can help to foster a love of reading.

I’d be focusing on books, books and more books. They are so important for kids and babies. It’s never too early to start reading to them.

usually more aware babies like yours (and mine lol) will prefer household items but anything that makes noise and reacts to them will be a hit.

Books, books and more books! Shape sorters, stacking toys, and most importantly – keep talking to her, pointing out things – colours, animals, shapes – everything! It’s a lovely age and they learn so quickly. Enjoy this lovely time 🙂

good on you children are curious and love learn too. Wooden puzzles,large leggo blocks,these not only can be used to teach building too but for matching colours and counting too,Fisher Price stock amazing children to use only toys.

I think the wooden alphabet cubed blocks are wonderful! My daughter loved those from a very young age. We taught her all the letters and pictures on them and they’re wonderful for developing balance skills.

I love all the Lamaze products. Reading books together is the best way to keep her curious and interested in everything. And listening to classical music.

We loved Baby Einstein DVD’s and books. They specialize in interactive activities for babies and preschoolers. Kids love visual and games like catch. Rolling the ball towards the child and have them stop the ball is fun and a great skill. Play pick up and give to Mum and Dad and siblings is another skill. I had Flashcards with the word on one side and a photo on the other. These are great to start with. We would walk around the backyard and I would name plants, bugs and flowers. Talking to the child with real words not baby talk helps with a strong vocabulary. Having days out at the local library where your child and you can mix with other Mum’s is another great place to start learning what everyone else is doing.
