Hello!

I had to stop working during the day so I could help my son at his school for learning. all my savings went to my son and now I’m struggling with money. since I’m deaf, I’m not able to get a job easily compared to hearing people. I need to work at night time to be able to be comfortable with money. I don’t have qualifications. can you throw me some ideas what I can do to get some income of some sort.

  • Some babysitting maybe?

  • I agree with surveys, its not much but something! Also enter competitions.

  • I second the online survey suggestions, its not much but could help a little bit

  • If you’re crafty, you can consider making things to sell at weekend markets or online through something like Etsy. If you like animals, you can see if your local vet might want an animal walker. I’ve also heard that after hours cleaners can make quite a bit. Hope that’s helpful.

  • Hi, I thought you’d like these little ideas… You might like to try installing the Field Agent ap on your phone … field agent give you little mystery jobs to do on the go. Find it in the Ap store. It’s a free ap and a very reputable company. Also Purkle and Cafe Study are great for surveys … you can quite quickly earn enough points for a small payment or gift card. Find them by searching the Internet or Facebook.

  • Night fill at a supermarket such as Coles/Woolworths if you want some regular income. If you can’t do that because you have no one to help look after your son while you did that – consider pamphlet delivery. The only downside I ever found to doing that was the weather (rain was the worst). If you are ok with just occasional top ups to what money you do get from whatever source/s consider online surveys/mystery shopping. Not a regular income I know but every little bit be it cash/vouchers helps. If you decide to do online surveys make sure they are from legitimate sources.

  • Your restrictions are difficult. Maybe contact the NDIS to see if they can put you in touch with a specialist employment agency.

  • I think doing surveys as listed above could be the way to go as well as selling your stuff on gumtree and ebay perhaps. Good luck.

  • Start selling your unwanted goods online using ebay and gumtree.

  • well I was literally in the same boat, but having a computer, I searched around to find what survey work I could do. I found Pure profile, and Live tribe, and Your voice… these do not pay a huge amount, but they do pay small amounts… I found I could join the coles club, and have a chance to win money from there. havent won any yet, but who knows. If you can use the computer go to Google, put in a question about survey work, and see what c omes back. I also joined the sanitarrium one, and Carmens kitchen, and sometimes have samples sent, also Toluna has a sample group set up .

  • How about Nightfill at the supermarkets, or even becoming one of the people that fills the orders for online (grocery) shopping?

  • Possibly investigate an employment agency -they often have jobs to suit all types of hours and circumstances – may be worth a try? Good Luck.

  • So sorry to hear about your situation and do hope things are looking up soon.
I could also add ironing as a possible small income …you are still at home and folks can drop off their cloths to your door but don’t forget to factor in the price of electricity as well as labour into the price you charge.
All the very best to you and your family.

  • I really feel for the situation you’re in. What about delivering catalogues? I’m not sure how much money is made for these, but I think you can deliver them in your own time (within reason).

  • A very difficult situation indeed. I’m so sorry! You can always do surveys online indeed. But you don’t earn much. Try Pureprofile, Swagbucks, Mysurvey… You could also scan your groceries with the Aztec Panel and get some rewards for that.

  • I am sorry you are struggling and it must be hard on top of looking after a child. I have joined online marketing surveys for the last couple of years and this can be extra pocket money for you . Some sites which are legit and trusty includes Pureprofile, Opinionworld, My Opinions .Also you can even do focus groups such as Stable Research who are looking for people . Just Google and you will find them and stick to the Australian companies which I think is safer.

  • Its not even close to an income but you can do surveys online. It helps with groceries and petrol a little bit. Try pure profile, toluna, purkle, your opinion, valued opinions. There are quite a few. Its only pocket money but takes some pressure off.
