You could try soaking it in hot lemon juice – this is my Mum’s suggestion, or vinegar 🙂

I had the same problem until I bought Morning Fresh . There was always use to have that greasy feel that you cant get rid of and now my dishes are very clean and non greasy . Perhaps you need to use very hot water and buy a concentrated d/liquid.

Don’t you just hate that? You wash and scrub them, go to put them away and they’re still greasey. So you sit them on the sink to washed again, and it doesn’t change. I’m going to try some of the suggestions here. A lot of metal cooking pans are meant to be greased, but not sure if this counts

My best friends for cleaning stainless and ceramic kitchen dishes is vinegar and baking soda made into a thick paste – smooth it on, leave for a few hours, chuck in the dishwasher or scrub with a gentle scrubbing sponge by hand, and you will get perfect results!

Use baking paper.

I boil the kettle and pour it into the tray and tip it out once it has cooled slightly. It melts and fat residue.

Boiling hot water and a top quality detergent. If your water isn’t boiling no detergent will cut through it, but if you fill up the dish with boiling water, you will be able to watch the detergent cut through the grease when you put a drop in the water. A long handled brush will take care of the scrubbing – it doesn’t hurt to get rid of the excess first using cooler water and a closer scrub but then the boiling water and a long handled brush to finish off.

I was going to suggest very hot water too!! And don’t go overboard on detergent as that may not be greeting rid of the grease as well as it should. About once or twice a year I also give everything a good scrub in the bath using baking soda, fresh lemon juice and vinegar. Works well I find.

Rinse in very hot water to which lemon juice has been added or vinegar. They will be squeaky clean and non greasy. I often put vinegar into the hot suds when washing and that is usually enough.
