Im planning a party and looking up entertainment to book for it and majority of the companies dont list prices so you have to email them. I really dislike this about websites. What do you not like about websites? Or was there something you have seen on a website that you loved and wished more companies would do?

  • I don’t like the ones that deleted any review that isn’t 5 star.

  • Yes I dislike that too, I wish they would just put the information up. I dislike it so much that I go looking at other websites who have the price and purchase or book through them. I hate it when some websites don’t state a delivery cost. You have to add items to your cart, go to the check out and do a calculation and find out it’s really expensive. I like the ones that have a flat rate or free delivery .

  • I like the option of calling them directly to discuss needs. I find by calling them you can get a better price and discount.

  • I find this so frustrating that it puts me off using the company. You go to a web site for information, not half the information so that you will contact them in another way. However, I also don’t like websites that have too much information all at once – too much text is too hard to get through and often difficult to understand

  • I too dislike having to search for a price or more information about a product.

  • I too hate having to email to get prices and quotes. Even worse is when they ask for what other quotes you have so it is almost as if they invent their prices on the fly!

  • That is a pet peeve for he too. Pricing is a very important part of people’s decisions. I’ve also found a lot of these websites very hard to navigate. Some are very confusing

  • I do that do, mum 93821. Some travel websites just show the best of some hotels, hiding the problems, but to be sure of what you buy, better to check TripAdvisor, that I find really reliable and I’ve been using for the last 20 years.

Another thing that annoys me are these comparison websites for insurances for example. Or to get a simple quote. They want your details and they want to phone you. I just want to check the prices and make my decision at home alone. I don’t want to stay half an hour (or more) on the phone with someone.

  • Business websites for accomodation always make me laugh a little rather than dislike. Some sites make the accomodation look incredible. I now go onto Trip Advisor and check out the travel reviews and photos provided by other travellers. Checking out these reviews and photos gives me a much better view of the accomodation.

  • Like you have said not listing the price is a turn off. I usually can’t be bothered at that stage and feel a sense of mistrust. The other thing is people not getting back to you in a timely manner when you try and make an appointment is frustrating. I really like being able to make appointments online rather than calling if I can to save time. A simple site that is very pictorial and easy to navigate always attracts me.

  • Some sites don’t list opening hours which is really annoying, not listing prices, some sites are extremely messy in general.

  • Not listing prices is really annoying, because this way it’s not possible to compare prices between different companies. You have to phone or email and that takes much more time.
