What do you keep in your change table? - Mouths of Mums

Hello!

Drawing an absolute blank trying to remember what was in my toddlers change table way back when. I’ve got the obvious pieces; newborn nappies, wipes, sudocrem, powder, some disposable liners for disasters, fresh fabric covers for the change cushion, wraps and spit up blankets, zippies, sanitiser and wipes.
What am I missing??

  • Love these ideas, thank you so much! Definitely will have some hand sanitizer and wipes ready to go. And something fun to distract bub when needed. I couldn’t do the rubber gloves personally, that seems like an excessive amount of plastic to run through given how many nappies a newbie will go through. It’s almost a rite of passage to get muck on your hands at some point haha.

  • Another thing which I always found handy to have on the changing table is something to distract baby with, like a toy or so. Also nappy bags of course and hand sanitiser for yourself in case you get some pee / poo on your hands. Some people prefer to change their baby with disposable gloves

  • Your list is quite extensive already, well done ! I would add some baby lotion or massage oil, a tube of Euky Bearrub to apply when they had a cold or were congested, a baby hair brush, baby nail clippers or nail file, muslin face washers, baby cotton buds to clean the ears and a couple of onesies.
