Hello!

I have always liked calendars to remind and store my appointments in throughout the year but this year I received a Family Planner as a gift and the amount of room that you can right your appointments on is amazing. I think I am switching to a Family Planner from now on. What do other mums prefer?

  • Planner for sure. I have close to 10 different ones where you can change the inserts but Kikki K decided they wanted to make money and change the size so you can no longer get the inserts from them. So glad filo fax still have the same size.

  • I’ve only ever used a calendar.

  • I have a planner sitting by our computer where I write my appointment in. Most of the time it works well. Last week I forgot 2 appointments because I had a lot on my mind and forgot to look in my planner !

  • For me to remember important dates i just save it on my phone calendar

  • My smart phone – I don’t have anything on paper anymore

  • It is great you got that as a present . Every year I go to a bargain store and buy a $2 calendar with the big squares to write comments in and it works for me every time . I think family planners are great if you have a lot of members in the household and you are multitasking so many activities that you cant keep up without one . I think some even have menu planning on it , so both are good depending how busy your household is .

  • I rely on my Outlook calendar and set appointments for the smallest silliest things…..but really appreciate the pop up reminders. It beats having written notes cluttering my kitchen bench too

  • I love my family planner but this year its really hard to find one, still looking!

  • I print my own calendars and ensure that there is enough room to write all my little notes.

  • yeah both. calendar for a reference and the adulty things that need detail or notes for the planner.

  • My daughter loves her calendar

  • The kids have calendars too and it is never too early to start kids with their own calendars!

  • I use a calendar as my quick visual to who has to be where each day. I colour code things for each kid to help make it very visual. And then have my iPhone set as important reminders to specific appointments and the like.

  • Love my calendar,it’s in the kitchen and very handy!

  • I use both. I use my planner for appointments and outings and my calendar for menu planning and chores. Works an absolute treat!

  • I love the Family Planner. I have it at the side of the refrigerator. It’s great to keep track of all appointments. I wouldn’t go back to a normal calendar! :-)

  • love the family planner, on a normal calander a day can get full sso quickly, but on a family planner you can se who has what and when at a quik glance. Although i have our in our study not up in the kitchen for the world to see when they visit.

  • Think I might need to Google what a family planner looks like. I write on a calendar, in pen – old school. Someone told me if I use my phone it can sync with the other devices in my house hold – ie husband’s phone etc so we can all be reminded of important appts/dates etc
