My daughter always loved muffins – sometimes sweet and sometimes savory.

Apart from the sandwich and fruit you could add some crackers, cheese, muffin, or biscuit.

We used to cook up lunchbox treats on the weekend. Sometimes I would cook extra for tea and give them leftovers for lunch. School lunch boxes are hard to keep healthy, interesting and to get the kids to eat

Air-popped pop corn, biscuits and cheese, banana or carrot cake (frozen in individual slices so it is defrosted and still cool when child ready to eat). Zucchini slice, scones / muffins / scrolls. Homemade muesli bars

fruit, popcorn, sandwich, crackers, homemade cookie or muffin and yoghurt. it varies but i try to make it yummy and healthy. sometimes i do a salad mix with ham.

I generally put some fresh fruit for recess (kiwi, grapes, blueberries, strawberries..) and some fruit bites. For lunch a sandwich, a piece of cheese and a mix of dried fruits.

I make and freeze, in single serve portions, things like pikelets/mini bran muffins/pumpkin scones etc. When packing lunch boxes add one to each.

Home made popcorn is also great (I make and pack the night before).

Frozen squeezie yoghurts are good for little kids.

Salada biscuits don’t go soggy as many do – great for vegemite and butter.

Julienne veggies is good for some kids (mine don’t like this)

If you have a few kids, make a few different types of sandwiches and mix them up to give them a variety of flavours each day.

Bagels and cheese and vegemite scrolls also help mix things up a bit.
