Hello!

With Christmas coming up in the near future (it always seems to come around quick) I’m just curious as to how much you spend, how many presents do you buy each child and what sorts of things do you buy your children? I’m particularly stuck on ideas for my 11 year old boy without buying electronics.

  • It depends on the budget and how healthy it is!

  • I usually buy gifts throughout the year when I find them on special.

  • depends on how well i have saved as to what i can buy but i laybuy pressies which really helps a lot.

  • I don’t buy many gifts for Christmas. For my daughter in general I get to spend 100-150 dollars. She’s now 13. Generally books, games. Last year as “big gift” she got a Meccano construction set.

  • We buy one big present for each child from Mummy and Daddy, and each child gives one to each other and they get about 2 or three presents from Santa so about 5 or 6 presents each, doesn’t have to be big. Eg Eldest daughter gave youngest daughter a ball for Christmas and Eldest daughter got a Yo Yo. They also get a little stocking filled with items they need like undies, socks, lip balm, and a toy.

Probably spend about $100 on each child altogether.

  • Usually around $150 each child, one big present and lots of little ones.
