One daughter had a pillow and the other daughter was a teddy

My son had a night teddy and he would constantly twirl it’s hat until the hat fell to bits and poor teddys stuffing in his head started to fall out! I stitched it but he continued to twirl and twirl it until teddy had no head!

That is too funny very similar to my 18 month old. My 18 month old pulls at her hair (she’s done it since she was a baby) or twirls it! Everyone thinks it’s the cutest thing ever. It really relaxes her. Or she finds any soft blanket/teddy and cuddles it. When my 5 year old was a baby she would always force her fingers in my mouth! It was the strangest thing, or she would play/pull at my lips. It was such a bad habit haha.

All three of my children differ. Our eldest is a thumb sucker, our second uses a dummy & our third has a Muslin wrap he holds

My nephew is obsessed with his toy vacuum cleaner, always talking about it, and you’ll often find it in bed with him, so cute! Also has a thing for whipper snippers. God kids can be funny

My daughter has a little jellycat soft rabbit. I introduced it maybe around 9-10 months during breastfeeding as always needed to hold something. It helped her when started daycare. However at home it’s only for bed. This means it doesn’t ned to come with us everywhere

My girls both had a security blanket. as they got past toddlerhood I cut them smaller! they didnt mind..dragging a cot duvet around garden not the best.

For my son its always been a small blanket hand held, it use to be a plain off white one but after losing that and not being able to buy a new one, we went shopping and he brought a cookie monster blanket which he carries almost everywhere. He is now 4.

Too many to mention. They seem to love certain cuddly toys that help in melt down, and yes, used to twirl the hair of a certain toy (thankfully not my hair!). Also think that routine is a security thing. When evacuating a catastrophic bushfire and sleeping on the floor of a hall with nothing comforting, lots of noise and sirens etc. just having a routine helped – food (thankfully), a cuddle, toilet, teeth and somewhere to lie down. Definitely helped having bedtime routine then!

Both my kids had a favourite teddy that went everywhere with them. My boy still loves his teddy and although he doesn’t come out with us anymore he’s still his favourite toy to go to sleep with.

My eldest had a dummy but neither of my sons have had a blankie or stuffed toy they couldn’t sleep without.
