  • Hot chook, rolls and Coleslaw are quick and easy.

  • Fried rice or noodles of some sort.
Fried rice as you just whack the rice in a rice cooker, later add frozen peas, corn and carrots, a bit of ham and a splash of soy sauce!
Noodles as you can just get them fresh from the supermarket – add frozen veg and some oyster sauce and voila!

  • Spaghetti Bolognese is always a favourite and so quick and easy!

  • I always keep crumbed fish pieces and frozen chips in the freezer. If I’m in a hurry I just place the fish and chips in the oven for half an hour and make a quick salad to go with it.

  • Spag bog or toasted sandwiches.
You can put almost anything in a toasted sandwich & they are ready in just a few minutes with very little dishes.
Perfect for a very quick very easy meal & clean up!

  • Thanks for sharing. I am always in a hurry after work and needed these tips.
    It is a great trip.
I find the slow cooker is good as you can prepare in the morning and dinner is cooked when you get home.

  • Stir fry is quick, easy and tasty

  • I do a quick chicken pesto penne.
Pesto, chicken and cream. Serve with penne.
    Stir fry is great too.

  • Special fried rice or a Paella Dish… also just google quick meal ideas and you will have oodles to chose from. Good luck 🙂

  • tuna bake. cooked rice (ricecooker makes that super easy), tuna, white sauce. straight in oven. yum yum yum.

  • Can’t go wrong with spag bol or stirfry. I don’t mind a vegie pasta bake too, with cheese and breadcrumbs on top.

  • Marion’s kitchen, food that is easy and delicious to prepare found on the supermarket shelf.

  • When I don’t have the time or energy to cook anything much, I make savoury mince with veggies on toast. You can buy the continental packet and just throw in some frozen vegetables. It’s a great simple meal that the adults and kids enjoy.

  • Chicken fried rice, chilli con carne, spag bol, lasagne, pasta in a tomato sauce, sausages and mash,

  • We do spaghetti, bacon and cheese on buns grilled the boys love this

  • I do quick chowmein. Basically buy the chow mein powder packet from continental/maggi. 250 gms mince, 1 pkt dry coleslaw and a packet of 2 minute noodles (without seasoning.)
Brown mince. chuck in coleslaw, powder water and noodles. Leave to cook/simmer until noodles softened and coleslaw cooked through (10 mins max) serve.. Doesn’t matter which dry slaw you use…sometimes I also add some frozen mixed veges. My kids all love it.

  • I make Quiche or Toasted Sandwiches, they are quick & you can pretty much use any left overs that you have.

  • Spaghetti on toast. Fish fingers with steamed vegies (only really fast if you cut the vegies up earlier). Spaghetti bolognaise frozen from an earlier cookup. Ravioli, and instead of a sauce, a tin of diced tomatoes over the top. They’re my fast go-to meals.

  • Cheese macaroni was my kids favourite quick meal. Just boil the macaroni & drain, melt 2 tablespoons of butter & add 2 tablespoons of flour stir until combined then add 1-2 cups of milk stirring until it thickens & then add 1 cup of grated cheese. Stir in 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley, S & P. Another variety was adding a can of tuna, diced celery & diced onion for a tuna bake.

  • Breakfast for dinner is always a winner. If I need something quick and easy then it’s eggs and beans on toast. Too easy 🙂
