Looking for suggestions for shoes for running and shoes for walking – any suggestions?

  • I wear general joggers for both. My daughter recently bought herself a pair of waterproof hiking shoes from Macpac. They were a bit pricey but I hope she’ll get many seasons of use from them.

  • I love Nike for jogging, and Dunlops for walking.

  • I would go to a specialist shoe store and get properly fitted and proper advice for your particular feet and gait.

  • Adidas Duramo or Galaxy are my go to shoe light comfortable and durable I get them on catchoftheday on sale usually around $60 sometimes less.

  • Netball shoes for the impact on knees. Jogging is high impact and jarring. So get the bouncey shoes.
    Leisurely walk in sand in beach in bare feet is good for you. The bare feet in sand is beneficial.

  • Pretty much I will wear any brand of jogger as long as they are comfortable. I do like Rivers brand of joggers – they seem to last longer than some other brands.

  • I went to The Running Edge shoe shop. They tested my walking and checked my feet out before recommending a shoe

  • Sketchers for everyday walking about and comfort and New Balance for more strenuous activity

  • Thanks for the answers – I have never heard of K Swiss and will look into them. I do like Khatmandu products too.

  • I use K Swiss runnners for walking and running and they are brilliant!

  • I use simple gymnastic shoes in summer or big Kathmandu walking shoes in winter.
