Hello!

I love unusual baby names for children so I was just wanting to know what’s out there. It may help those choosing names for their babies. Can you also put down boy or girl. Or both thankyou

  • My name is Ashna and still one of the most unusual names I have ever heard of.

  • I would say Google it or check out the Huggies website.

  • There are a number of threads on the net about this – do a google and see if you come up with any more unusual names you haven’t come across.

  • BOY——-
    -arlo
    -ashden

    GIRL——
    -Harlow
    -Nevaeh (heaven backwards)
    -James
    -charlie
    -brayden

    UNI——-
    -Jagger
    -riley
    -harley

  • I suppose it depends on what you class as unusual. I like the name Harley that could be used for either

  • I love unusual names (to an extent) but I can’t stand when people mess with the spelling. To each their own though.

My little man is Remy, and I had that picked if he was a boy or a girl- I absolutely love androgynous names- myself, my partner and my son’s names can all be used for a boy or a girl.

  • people have been calling their kids “Khaleesi”, which is the character – the mother of dragons from the tv show “game of thrones”

  • I love the name Jasper and Ezekiel for boys and aria and quinn for girls

  • Friends called their son Jaxon. I also know of a Maddox and a Clay and a girl called Aprillia after the motorcycle company.

  • Abcde… that is really unusual!

  • One of my girl’s name is Kaydence and we call her Kadi for short.

    I also like

    Havana (Girl)
    Amalee (Girl)
    Ruby-Jean (Girl)
    Shaylee (Girl)

  • My daughter is a school teacher and has came across a few out there names …this is but one. Abcde. and it even has it’s own google search.

You read that right: Abcde, as in the first five letters of the alphabet. We assumed there’d been a typo, but we were wrong. So very wrong, it turns out. This first name, pronounced “AB-si-dee,” is a lot more common than you’d expect.Dec 4, 2014

  • Be careful as its a very fine line between unusual and just plain weird. If you’re looking for different, check out what celebrities name their kids :/

  • I once saw a show called Blinging Up Baby from the UK, and there was a young mum on the show who had named her two girls Princess and Precious.

  • I’ve heard the name Burger is popular in the US, and I have a nephew named Chase.

  • I know a few people who have give their kids some interesting names.
Also what about common names with different/unusual spelling.

  • I have cousins that have named their children:
    Rain Imogen (Boy)
    Indigo Joy (Girl)
    River Moon (Boy)
    Yindi May (girl)
    Pearl May (girl)

  • They are! I agree that it’s important to be thoughtful while choosing a name. A child is “stuck” with it for a long time. I’ve heard of people being able to change their name when older, but I don’t know how old you have to be, to be able to do that.

  • mom90758 – some of those names are unimaginable!
