Hello!

My eldest is in year 6 and is supper excited she has a Kindy buddy to to support as buddy system they do at her school .
At her school they have what’s called a support unit which are kids who special needs and they try and integrate the children to mainstream class rooms some kids stay at the school and some move on if they are able to intergrate to a mainstream class room to the school they are actually zoned for
So my question is she wants to get her buddy who is a boy 5 with special needs favorite colour blue something for starting school what are some ideas
The only information she has given me is what I have said she just super excited to have this child as her buddy

  • When this is all info you’ve been given, I would say buy a gift what you would buy for any other 5yr old boy !

  • What an excellent unit to have and to be a part of. More schools should have one

  • A drink bottle? Pencil case. Or a handmade card, or bake some blue biscuits? Or she could make a nametag and maybe the teacher could laminate it?

  • This is such a nice idea of school buddies. Maybe a notebook and your son can draw something and write something like-for you to follow your dream…good luck

  • Maybe a bag charm would be inexpensive and cute.
