  • I have always made a boiled fruit cake that is moist. I do add a tin of crushed pineapple and the juice as well. Always turns out moist and yummy.

  • I agree with the fruit soaking – it will make it so moist and delicious.

  • I had to try trial and error and that is the best way to go with fruit cake.

  • Soak in pineapple juice and use crushed pineapple pieces in the mix.

  • My mums fruit cakes were always moist. She used to soak her fruit in alcohol. Not sure if this is what made them moist, but tastes good
