Hello!

Hi,
I am a mother of 2 child. They are twin and now in Year 2. I send them in a tutoring center and not satisfied at all the way they teaching. Rather than its too much pressure for them and they don’t learn anything. I really need a help from these beautiful moms if they can suggest me what will be the good way to learn them to build their basic concept strong so that they can do by themself and get interest on learning. Any suggestion for methods/good home tutor/any tutoring center with small group of student?

just FYI, me and my husband both are working for full time for which we don’t give much time to their study.

  • There are programmes you can find online that teach children games involving maths and English. It’s a fun way for them to learn while playing. Some sites include:
    Sesame Street
    PBS Kids. …
    Starfall. …
    CoolMath. …
    Make Me Genius. …
    TIME for Kids. …
    National Geographic Kids. …
    The KIDZ Page.

  • Ask your kids’ teachers whether they really need extra help at this stage. Perhaps get a uni student studying to be a primary teacher to do some coaching.

  • I would talk to their teachers first especially if parent interviews are coming up as that’s the best opportunity , then ask them for recommendations. Normally they might know some contacts or themselves do tutoring on the side . I found a lot during parent interviews which I never knew so that was an eye opener. Good luck.

  • If they are not getting the support they need in their school then the first step would be to address that. Talk to their teachers and they may even be able to provide some tools to extend them at home.

  • Nothing wrong with tge Australian school system for education. Tutors are a good way to get their grades up

  • What’s wrong with just sending them to school? That’s where most kids learn most things. They’re only grade 2, I don’t think you need to be stressing too much about pushing them into school work
