I usually use any extra money on buying Groceries for my family especially when they are on sale stock up on those cheap groceries. I never seem to have that much extra money anyways so doing a hair appointment is out of the question I think the last time I went to the hairdresser was over 6 months ago

100% the answer is outings! I would give up clothing, hair, nails all for outings with my family! I went to lots of stage shows as a child and I loved getting dressed and going out. Now for my family one show is about $600!!! We can’t afford to spend like that so are always on the lookout for budget outings!

I go between buying myself new outfits on line when I get sick of my clothes and want a new style. I sell my old clothing to fund this habit. But I also now like to spend money on getting facials as I have some issues arising from spending my 20s in the sun!

I personally prefer spending any spare money i have on experiences rather than stuff. Especially things i can do with my kids. Tickets to a show or park, or even going out for breakfast and a walk along the foreshore. Stuff is great but it’s just stuff

I like to try new cafes and reasonably priced restaurants. It’s a treat to have someone else do the cooking.

My “fun” spending is generally on holidays and/or experiences with my family and each year I spend money to go on a women’s retreat.

Yes holidays and family outings is always a good one ! I’m also the type of person who likes to give. Another thing I had to think off is getting repairs done you have been putting off due to lack of money. And I LOVE spending money on plants in the garden !

Holidays!! Any extra always goes to holiday fund or and staycations fund for a hotel in the city! Such an indulgence but totally worth it. Travel distance is relatively close so you can just enjoy the perks of a 5 star hotel. Definitely where I like to spend the extra on!

The other thing that we spend extra money on is going to the movies and to shows. We love to watch movies and shows and support the entertainment industry. We also like to save any extra money for date nights and other outings. Extra money can also go towards hobbies.

I may have snagged an Ecoya mystery box as a little treat. The discount was pretty great, and they will make great gifts if the contents isn’t my taste. I love to buy candles and diffusers every few months to brighten up the home, and make my spaces a little fresher.

All the usual things like getting hair done and massages are great but for me I put it away for a holiday that is going to cost a lot so lots of saving is a must. Right now I am putting my extra money aside in my mortgage offset and saving it to take my daughter to the Gold Coast.

Personally I wouldn’t chose spending extra money on hair nor nails nor massage, but I do like to go on a shopping spree with my eldest daughter and like to treat ourselves on clothing, Doc Martens shoes and jewelry. Using the money on an experience like going out for dinner with the family, ice skating, roller skating, kayaking is also lovely

I absolutely adore books and will spend extra money given as a birthday or Christmas gift on books. I love to buy books and to explore different places and different people. I like to buy and read books across different genres. I also love to rummage through second handbooks shops and find hidden treasures to read.
