Good luck with that. Once they becone attached to something, it’s so hard to replace, no matter how tatty or smelly it gets

Being light colours they don’t take long to start looking old, especially if he sucked it at all like some babies do. It probably looks a lot older than it is.
To some little ones their night time comforter is their “security blanket”.
Besides some children, not just small ones have their favourite PJs, nighties, knickers, undies and other clothing. If you can’t find the same perhaps let him choose a substitute and see if he will take it to bed instead….or even both for a few nights until he get comfortable with his new one. A boy I used to mind had one that was kept at my place. He had it until he was about 10 y.o.
As a toddler he didn’t ask for his parents like many do.

I wouldn’t – I would talk to him about taking it to the hospital for the babies, as he is a big boy now. this worked for my son with his dummies… he coped more than I thought he would, and the nurses were amazing. I would have a big boy surprise in the car – colouring books, or lego, etc, and make the fuss over that, not what he let go. All the best!

Facebook seems to be amazing for things like that. Hopefully you find what you are looking for.

Maybe you could try and get something else to use as a comforter together so when his old one fully falls apart he has something else that will help fill the void- a fave soft toy from ABC?? Good luck

have you tried Ebay? Pop a photo of it on selling sites on Facebook and ask around. Good luck

Also have you put the picture of the puppy into Google to see if any come up? Just another idea x

Thanx that would be great, not sure where hes originally from, we got given it when he was born from my grandma who was given it by a family friend but he instantly fell in love with it, have included a photo although iys not the same colour as it was new lol.

hi! maybe just take him to go and pick a new one and then secretly throw the other one away. you could always get him to “donate” it to his toy that needs it either as a comforter or as clothing.
