Hello!

With power bills increasing all the time, which companies do you think provide the best deals?

  • Energy prices vary between areas. I would suggest an internet search to help find energy retailers, then do your own calculations. Keep in mind that the daily service fee will likely make up most of the expense, so try to find one that is lower. I never use pay on time discount ones even though I pay on time – if you forget it’s a huge difference.

  • Where I live, we have no alternative, we only have one power supplier so it’s either pay up or you’re screwed

  • A great question – thanks for posting this!

  • we only really have one provider here

  • we’re with AGL and they’re good

  • get online and do a search, most states have fixed pricing so it comes down to the discounts they will offer you

  • there are a few sites that can find the best deals for your area on the net

  • Be very careful with the special deals – you may end up worse off (and locked in to a contract you can’t get out of). You may be better with getting the free (or $50) energy efficiency services to have a look at your electricity usage and give tips on how to reduce your costs.

  • One big switch is really good nowadays.

  • there are all different and good in one way or another just gotta find the one that works for you

  • Google an energy watch for your state as they all differ. However the traps are in the fineprint. Pay on time admin fees connection fees upkeep fees, other than that basically they are all charging the same for a kilowatt An absolute disgrace how unaffordable a basic commodity is.

  • Did you find some good deals?

  • Depends on what state you live in, hard one, most of these I have never heard of!

  • also interested as I cant get a clear answer as to which is cheaper

  • I just try to use as much off-peak as I can

  • I hope you found the answer that you were looking for.

  • We just switched to Red Energy, they had the cheaper rates and flexible pricing for electricity.

  • ACTEW AGL we like :)

  • I hope you find one that is right for you :)

  • Keyword search in a Google for State Government site dealing with energy/electricity.
