  • Tassie is beautiful wherever you go, the scenery is incredible and its not huge so you can see a lot of it in two weeks but I definitely recommend going to St Helens and Binalong bay. Beautiful beaches :)

  • Richmond is beautiful. There is an amazing venue called Riversdale estate which do stunning high teas and they have an outdoor Peter Rabbit garden.

  • Port Arthur has so much history & you can easily spend a day there, Bicheno is another great place with lots to do & see there too, the Penguin tours for the kids & see the Blowhole.

  • A drive up Mt Wellington – on a clear day the views are amazing.
Take a drive to Kingston Beach and visit the new playground.
Stroll around the waterfront and Salamanca – Saturday market.
The botanical gardens are beautiful for a wander. Check out the museum.
Mt Field National park – an hour away.
Port Arthur – an hour away.
Take a ride to Mona on the Mona ferry.

  • The Tasman Peninsula is a great place to visit. Only 1 1/2 hours drive from Hobart. Lots to see on the drive down too.

  • Tasmazia is really fun for kids & Adults. Willie Smith’s Apple Shed is worth a visit too.

  • I’ve never been in Tasmania so can’t advice you, but it’s nice to read the recommendations in case we go one day

  • Go further south, through the Huon Valley. Beautiful places and scenery, home grown produce and markets. There is also the Tahune Adventures and Airwalk, which is amazing.

  • the Salamanca Markets are great – if they’re currently open.

  • I loved Hobart. The Salamanca market is lovely. Hobart is very pretty. I wouldn’t spend the whole two weeks there though. If you have a car or hiring, drive up the coast, it is so picturesque and so much to see.

  • Check out Port Arthur, mount Wellington, cradle Mountain, wineglass Bay, and Strahan. It depends what you’re after but Tasmania has lots of great scenery and not too far to drive to get around.

  • I’ve never been to Hobart, only Launceston.
If you manage to break out of the area, you can go to the seahorse world – it’s such a cute place and also a place called the Beehive where there’s lot of honey.

  • Thank You sounds like that will be interesting we will be staying in Hobart and want to do some day trips so

  • I’d highly recommend going to the markets they have on a Saturday at salamander Bay right near Hobart and also if you’re able to travel go to the bays of fire it’s one of the most beautiful beaches in the world ????
