Hello!

I am looking at booking another holiday soon and I was just wondering if anyone has some good feedback on a destination. Only in Australia please and not Victoria as I live here.

  • I would recommend Tasmania. I have only been once but would love to go back as there is so much to see and explore. From history to nature it has everything.

  • Goid to see someone making holiday plans inside of Australia. Best country in the world

  • I tend to visit where I have family, that way I can catch up and see new places at the same time

  • We just went to Palm Cove just outside of Cairns. It was great with so many activities to do for a variety of ages and budgets. You can eat in expensive restaurants or have fish and chips on the beach. Plenty of free activities and attractions in and around Cairns

  • We just came back from Adelaide ( after 20 odd years ) and the biggest highlight was the Barossa Valley/ Hahndorf tour. It is really a laid back state as the shops don’t open till 11.00 !. Even the bus driver was shocked , don’t people want business he says . We took the kids to Adelaide Zoo which they found exciting and the city had a lot of nice restauants and we were lucky to even try a Jamie Oliver Restaurant . It is worth going to .

  • Tasmania is beautiful, bit chilly in winter, but still beautiful especially when it snows

  • Tasmania is a good one to visit. Northern territory is good too!

  • I loved Uluru. What an enchanting place!

  • I think you need to ask yourself a few questions – do you want to drive or fly? What sort of weather do you want? Are you thinking beach or bush? What sort of experiences do you want? Is it about relaxation or discovery? If you discuss this sort of thing with the family, you can narrow down where to look. Amanda

  • I’ve been wanting to visit hamilton island too

  • What about Hamilton Island? If you want to do a bit of site seeing. Fly to Port. Macquarie and drive around beautiful beaches, animal parks etc, and lovely climate

  • There are so many wonderful destinations in Australia

  • Kangaroo island south australia is beautiful

  • Come to Adelaide, there’s so much to see within an hour’s drive or so of the city. You can head through the wineries at McLaren Vale on your way to Victor Harbour on the coast. Or head to the Barossa Valley on your way to the Riverland. Or there’s the Clare Valley wineries on your way to the Flinders Ranges. There’s so many beautiful towns in the Adelaide Hills to keep you occupied for days. Wonderful fishing over on Yorke Peninsula. And we’ve got some pretty good beaches in Adelaide, and lots of great restaurants too.

  • Tasmania is great for a driving tour holiday

  • Probably need a bit more info. Do you like theme parks, beaches, taking children, how old? I’ll give you a variety of some that I can recommend.

    1. South Australia – The Adelaide Hills – Handorf, Glenelg, Murray Bridge.
    2. Tassie – pretty much anywhere is good and Port Arthur is highly recommended. Going over on the ferry is part of the trip better than flying.
    3. WA – Fremantle (prison tour is good) Rottnest Island and New Norcia, the only monastic town in Australia – fascinating place.
    4. Qld and Nsw, Qld theme parks if you’ve never been before and the Hinterland. NSW lots of lovely Heritage villages to explore (we live in one).
    5. Train Journeys? Indian Pacific and others.

One place we enjoyed was Mt Isa, we lived in QLD at the time and took the Sunlander to Townsville then the Inlander to Mt Isa, plenty to see there, underground mine tour, fossil centre, underground hospital, flying doctors.

    Picture: Port Arthur

  • Queensland <3

  • Come to South Australia its wonderful here if your looking for a nice relaxing holiday but if you want full on theme parks then i would say head to the gold coast.

  • Queensland or Brisbane are lovely most of the year round as well as Cairns and Townsville
