Which brand is good for a new knife block set? Looking for reasonably priced but does a good job.

  • I would check out kitchen appliance stores like House or Peters of Kensington to see which knife block suits your budget.

  • Wusthoff. Expensive but will last longer then you do. There’s a cheaper brand advertised on tv that is really good too. Ever sharp I think it might be called. Often see the ad during the morning shows on tv

  • You can’t beat Mundial – they may be a little on the expensive side but they’re fantastic and last

  • We were given a knife block set and it has Mundial written on,they are fantastic and have lasted very well, don’t now the cost thou!

  • We just got a Global set not too long ago and they are fantastic

  • I have the Global, it’s very good. I got it from Myer. Keep an eye on sales, they always have good prices at Victoria’s Basement.

  • If you want to invest in a good quality knife block I’d recommend Wusthof. Otherwise there are some really good less expensive options like Jamie Oliver, Scanpan or the ones from Target and Big W as mentioned by others here.

  • My brother in law has blocks and says only the department stores such as Myer , Target has decent knife blocks . A lot of them have some sort of guarantee so check that out on the label .

  • i got my set from kmart lol but it is great! i have a knife sharpener as well.

  • I love my Maxwell & Williams knives

  • Wustoff are really good, can be on the expensive side, but worth the money.

  • mom90758 – I have not heard of Anolon knives? Where are they sold and how expensive? Thanks 🙂

  • Anolon knives are very good. But on the expensive side I guess

  • Is Wiltshire expensive mom165081? Maybe Christmas sales?

  • Wiltshire is usually pretty good
