Hello!

I need to buy a new washing machine, as my Westinghouse (3yrs old) leaks water all over the floor. Any recommendations or non recommendations would be greatly appreciated

  • We’ve had an LG for a long period then went to a Beko which broke down so after 1 year Beko sent us another Beko and that failed after a year too so we opted for our money back and went to a LG again with extended warranty, LG products rarely fail us and if they do, their customer service has been great to deal with, with every repair being attended to in a timely manner and if they cant repair, they replace without questions.

  • I’ve got a Samsung front loader that’s about 10 years old and is still going strong.

  • I bought the LG 10kg front loader, you can add any extras mid cycle which I love.

  • I’ve got an Electrolux and I highly recommend it.

  • The lg washer dryer combo is amazing! Just washing the clothes has made them so much cleaner and softer, and you can put it on wash and dry, walk away and let it do it’s thing

  • I have an LG top loader that i have been using for over 10 years. It doesn’t have the thing in the middle so although it’s only a 3.5KG washer, I can fit more clothes in. I’m pretty happy with it

  • I need a new machine also so many recommedations but I think ill be going for less computerised thanks ladies

  • I have had the Samsung front loader for three years & am very happy with it . Its quiet and tells you when its finished . It has a great twenty nine minute wash which is the cycle I use most . My friend also bought one & is happy with hers as well.

  • I went back to a top loader.

  • We’ve had a LG 7.5kg since 2007, reasonable price, still going strong, even put up with our partly outdoors laundry. Suits our family of 7, especially with the economical Quick wash cycle of 42 minutes.

  • My hubby brought a Whirlpool Antibacterial 7.5kg “WFS1073DD”. About 2.5years ago. I love it temperature controlled, efficient & cheap to run & is nice & sturdy.

  • After watching the videos & MoM reviews I be buying the Fisher & Paykel WashSmart Front Loader.

  • Miele is a very good brand but expensive.bosch is also good.fisher and paykal is well known for washing machine.

  • We have a Miele and it is amazing. They last for ages (I think they promote as lasting 20+ years), are gentle on clothes, energy and water efficient, and uses less laundry powder. They also run off the cold water tap, heating the water in the machine. You can also add clothes to the load once it’s started which is brilliant. Well worth the cost ( which works out cheaper, considering most machines last less than 5 years!).

  • I have a Bosch front loader for the last 6 years.it is reliable and does the job. You really get what you paid for in terms of quality and performance.

  • Whirlpool 10kg sports washer. This is the most amazing machine I have ever owned! I can out my king size doona’s in there with room to spare :)

  • Go for the least computerized one. Less to go wrong with it. Also top loaders are great for kids as you always have that extra item you can throw in once started.

  • I have an LG 9 kilo front loader. I’ve had it 5 years & had no problems. It uses very little water & i love the 30 min wash cycle..

  • I have had a 9kg electrolux front loader for the last 14 months and I love it… http://m.electrolux.com.au/Products/Laundry_room/Washing_machines/Front_load_washer/EWF14912

  • Miele. So gentle on clothes, cleans well, saves on water, detergent and electricity. Love ours. I can’t speak highly enough of it.
